POITÍN

There’s no better, or perhaps quicker way to warm the heart and fuel the spirit than with a wee dram of famous Irish Poitín. Emphasis should be made on the wee as Poitín (pou-teen), is essentially Irish moonshine. Its name is derived from the traditional pot stills it is distilled in, ‘pota’. and the Irish word for a hangover, ‘póit’ and can contain anywhere between 40% and 90% alcohol.

Cask owners will have the services of a Midleton master distiller for consultation, may visit and of course – have tastings of their personal whiskey while it matures. If it's ready for bottling, the personalized label will show your inclusion into the Midleton family heritage of whiskey.
