Taking you Personally
Guided by our mantra, ‘taking you personally’, we’re passionate about delivering a completely authentic experience, tailored to our guests needs and interests. However they travel with us, they’ll meet our storytellers, stay in our hand-selected accommodations, explore our rugged edge of the world and experience Brendan’s highly personalized service.
As Brendan’s Managing Director for over 30 years, the head of our Dublin team, and an Irish native, Catherine is the embodiment of Celtic expertise and knowledge. She wants everyone to feel our generosity of spirit, an overwhelming sense of belonging as if you’ve come home.
With her deep roots in the community and her ties to Ireland and Scotland, Catherine’s passion is carefully woven into every one of Brendan’s hand-crafted itineraries.
As Catherine says, we believe there comes a time when a trip to these magical lands where tears are met with laughter, fairies with faith and dreams with hope, cannot be put off another day.
That’s why she always keeps the kettle on.
Meet the people who will help you write your own Brendan Story:

Driven by service since day one. Our story started in 1920 with one man, one hotel and one clear vision. To now, with over four generations continuing the dream that was always much larger than our start in South Africa. Fast forward 100 years later, the true passion and the real foundation of the vision that is driven by service is still at the core of our family-owned and operated business that is The Travel Corporation.
At Brendan, our roots are as authentic as our experiences. We are named after St. Brendan, patron saint of navigation, and we are guided by a great passion for exploration and travel. After nearly 40 years of success, Brendan was purchased by The Travel Corporation. In 2014, we returned to our roots to concentrate on trips solely to Ireland and Scotland and have been taking guest personally to our homelands ever since.
In 2011, we moved to 27 Merrion Square in Dublin, a Georgian-style building rich with cultural and historical significance. Our new beloved home was once the residence of literary legend Oscar Wilde in the 1800’s as well as where Ireland’s first female president, Mary Robinson, maintained her offices during her days of legal practice.
