“My name is Deirdre (Dee) Morgan and I have lived in Belfast since I was 2 years old. As a child I wanted to become a Nun, then as a punk rocker teenager, I dabbled in a bit of acting - sharing the screen with Kenneth Branagh in a TV drama about Belfast. Eventually, I found my way into tourism and have been showing off my home town to visitors for nearly twenty years.”
“As a Local Specialist I get the opportunity to bring my city alive to the people I’m with, not just showing them the beautiful buildings and telling them the history of the city but telling the stories and secrets you wouldn’t normally hear and of course, showing them how warm the people of the city are. We are a nation of storytellers and everyone you meet here has a story to tell.”
“I’m delighted when guests say they have enjoyed their time in Belfast and wish to bring their families back to experience our Irish Hospitality. Visiting Ireland is a lifelong dream for our guests and we want to ensure that our guests have a wonderful experience and happy memories about their time spent with us.”
“I always advise guests to explore the Cathedral Quarter, a beautiful, historical and vibrant part of the city. Its cobbled lanes lead to some of the best pubs in Belfast and there are hidden gems in the back lanes like the Michelin star Muddlers Club (named after the Secret Society that met there over 200 years ago), Waterman House, which is also a cookery school where guests can enjoy immersive cookery classes. Another wonderful place to visit is our Victorian St Georges Market. It’s one of the last Victorian Markets in Ireland. It is full of wonderful local producers of food, art, artisan jewelry and music. Stock Kitchen and Bar is a must visit and have the best seafood and steak in Belfast.”
“I’m very lucky that I get to meet so many wonderful and interesting people. I’ve became friends with quite a few of the guests that have travelled with Brendan Vacations. They are all superstars. Over the years I’ve had the privilege to guide for a The Bondi Vet (Chris Brown), Rory McIlroy and Brendan Vacations CEO Gavin Tollman when he visited in 2019.”
