Openings:

Brendan is currently searching  for a Marketing Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be an energetic and motivated individual to assist in the coordination and implementation efforts of the marketing department specifically in desktop publishing/design, media planning, PR copywriting, editing, campaign management and digital marketing efforts.

Requirements

Employement

  • Minimum two years experience in the travel industry: tour operator, consortia, tourism board in a marketing role
  • Minimun three years experience in graphic design and/or desktop publishing
  • Minimum one year experience in e-marketing, e-commerce and online advertising with  hands on experience in SEM, social media and affiliate marketing strategies.  Experience successfully managing Google AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing and Bing/MS adCenter campaigns. Experience with Ycombinator, Digg, Reddit, Twitter, and other SM platforms. Experiences with Facebook, Linkedin, Myspace, Youtube and Yahoo! Video are highly favorable. Some experience with MS Project and Visio.

Educational

  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Business Development

Technical

  • 3 years experience with CS3 or CS4 – Dreamweaver, InDesign, Premiere and Illustrator
  • 1 year experience with QuarkXPress, Vegas, Final Cut Pro, Nuendo, Cubase, ProTools, iRise.
  • 2 years experience with copy editing, proofing and editing of both digital and print media
  • Experience with HTML, CSS and Java a huge plus
  • Experience with Google Analytics, WorkTracker and Omniture a huge plus
  • Superior understanding of MS Office Suite
  • Superior written and editorial communication skills, for editing web content, blogs, forums, marketing collateral and mass email strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities

Offline Marketing (40%)

  • Coordinate and fulfill ad requests which include designing, composing, writing, proofing reviewing and editing ad copies
  • Design and edit promotional, marketing, POS flyers
  • Assist in the creation and loading of promo codes for both FIT and Escorted itineraries
  • Assist in the composition and editing of PR articles

Sales Support (35%)

  • Organize webinars for district sales managers while acting as administrator for Go-To-Meeting
  • Research, organize, collate and compose destination specific PowerPoints to be used by the DSMs which include identification of images and styles and other written content
  • Support District Sales Managers

Market Planning and Strategy (15%)

  • Liaise with tourism boards and key consortia partners during ad creation, coordination, proofing and fulfillment
  • Coordinate, plan and execute go-to-market strategies of new products, segments and promotions
  • Act as a brand manager and enforce style guidelines to ensure consistent branding and message
  • Coordinate and assist in media planning and buying activities most especially in the PPC
  • Assist in the establishment of a research methodology and design format for data gathering, such as surveys, questionnaires and reports
  • Organize and manage publicity and customer relationship activities
  • Coordinate weekly pricing comparison activities and analyze related data for market research and product positioning

Digital Marketing (10%)

  • Assist in search engine optimization efforts in terms of keyword and content updates on the website
  • Coordinate and assist in the creation and release of email and feed campaigns by editing and proofing content
  • Develop and manage PPC, PPM and CPC campaigns and liaise with key contacts in Google, Yahoo and Bing
  • Administer and co maintain social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter
  • Co-administer Brendan blog and forum as site moderator
  • Manage affiliate marketing activities through the monitoring and increasing of links
  • Act as chief video editor in charge of collecting and editing video related content to be used in both offline and online media
